A bunch of beings trying to survive in a broken clock
One of the areas fortunate to survive from the war. While it is not as strong as it once was, its cities known for their avian-like daemons remain stable, and their defenses have been amped up since the war. Out of recent concern of conflict, mercenaries have been heavily sought out along with other means of promoting military.
From recent misfortunes, it was she who was left to take the mantle of her house, as their tradition to choose someone to raise to their next leader. Bitter and anxious about it, she either mitigates fighting from her - dependent on her phoenix and on those she can trust - or is crafty in sneaking for a time. Among all responsibilities, she's concerned with anything to coming around the corner for Argyfasel, as if the war from before never really ended. Regardless, she's left to learn about the world more than a lot of other nobles.
One of the more important characters, and the ones who are, are often heavily between daemon and human matters.

A captain of crossbowmen, he goes about Argyfasel looking for people to enlist in defenses, and with increasing troubles in cities, he turns to mercenaries and outsiders more for help. Alongside, he is also a small time businessman, helping his new family's business when he has the chance.
A fairly new character who I still need to flesh out more. Tried making him more normal to give more contrast to how relatively rational Argyfasel seems to everywhere else.

One of the older daemons who are around humans, he resides around Gefesla's house and Argyfasel as a judge and policeman among them. He's also the reason why Argyfasel itself isn't attacked very often because most invaders are scared of him and the other avian daemons that reside by the ruling houses.
Not supposed to be in the foreground, but he appears much more in the third quarter and in stories concerning daemons, being a lawman among them.
